PivotAI uses AI services (Google Gemini, Groq) to generate itineraries and provide intelligent features. When AI processing is required:

  • Only the minimum necessary data is sent for processing
  • Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS 1.3)
  • We do not store your conversations with AI services
  • AI-generated content is stored locally on your device

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All trip data, expenses, and preferences are stored locally on your device using encrypted SQLite databases
  • Map tiles and weather data are cached locally for offline access
  • We do not operate servers that store your personal travel data
  • Data is encrypted at rest using device-level encryption

5. Third-Party Services

PivotAI integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Open-Meteo — Weather forecasts (no personal data sent)
  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — Map tiles and geocoding
  • Frankfurter API — Currency exchange rates
  • Google Gemini / Groq — AI itinerary generation (anonymized requests)

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you for the purpose of improving our services.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data stored locally on your device
  • Delete your data at any time through the app settings
  • Export your data as PDF or JSON
  • Request deletion of any server-side data (if applicable)

8. Children's Privacy

PivotAI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
